Privacy Policy

Your privacy, in plain English

ResumeTailor is built so you can tailor a resume without handing over your life story. Here is exactly what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: May 9, 2026

1. Who we are

ResumeTailor (“ResumeTailor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a free web tool that helps job seekers tailor a resume to a specific job description. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Service at iloveresume.site. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Resume content. When you upload a PDF resume, we receive the file’s contents only to generate the tailored output you requested.

Job description text. The text you paste into the job description field is processed alongside your resume to produce the tailored result.

Technical data. Our hosting provider and advertising partners automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, and approximate location, used for security, fraud prevention, analytics, and ad delivery.

Cookies and similar technologies. See section 6 below.

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers in order to use the core feature.

3. How we use your information
  • To process your resume and job description and return a tailored resume PDF.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • To display advertising via Google AdSense and measure ad performance.
  • To comply with legal obligations.
4. How your resume is processed

Your uploaded PDF and the job description text are forwarded over HTTPS from your browser, through a Netlify serverless function, to a workflow automation service (n8n) that performs the AI tailoring. Once the tailored PDF is generated and streamed back to your browser, we do not retain user-identifiable copies of your resume or the job description on our servers.

The workflow automation service may briefly cache files in transit and in operational logs as part of normal request processing. These transient copies are not used for any purpose other than completing your request and are subject to that provider’s own retention controls.

5. Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party services to run the Service:

  • Netlify — static site hosting and serverless functions.
  • n8n — workflow automation that performs the AI resume tailoring.
  • Google AdSense — advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies and the advertising identifier associated with your device to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com or learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Operate the site and remember basic preferences.
  • Measure traffic, usage, and ad performance.
  • Serve and personalise advertisements (via Google AdSense).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies on a per-site basis. Disabling cookies may affect ad-supported features but will not block the core resume-tailoring workflow.

7. Data retention
  • Resume PDFs and job description text are processed in-memory and are not retained on our servers after the response is delivered.
  • Server access logs (timestamps, IP addresses, request paths) are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and operational purposes.
  • Advertising and analytics cookies are retained according to the policies of the respective providers.
8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing — including direct marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at rupamsaha365@gmail.com. Because we do not require accounts and do not retain your resume after processing, in many cases there is no personal data on our side to retrieve or delete.

9. Children’s privacy

ResumeTailor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by service providers based in the United States and Europe. We rely on the safeguards offered by our service providers when transferring data internationally.

11. Security

We transmit data over HTTPS and rely on industry-standard practices from our hosting and workflow providers. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page.
